Christian is an ardent Project Manager with experience in several fields within the industry, making him an indispensable member of the team. He began his career as a plumber, spending four years perfecting his craft while studying. After being in school for two years, switching majors from engineering to liberal arts, he decided to pursue architecture. He obtained a bachelor of science in Architectural Engineering Technology at Farmingdale State College here in New York in 2020. After he graduated, he started providing freelance architectural services. He developed CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits to ensure that he could tackle any project he had in the future. He also interpreted technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports to make revisions to CAD drawings in order to get the best outcome for his clients. He was drawn to Rojas AP after witnessing how the companies work within the local community aligned with his passion for improving the quality of life in New York.
A New York native, he was born in Jamaica, Queens, and he couldn't be happier to be working somewhere so close to home so he can give back to the community that gave him so much. Christian thinks of every new project as an opportunity to meet and learn from new people. He loves having the ability to expand his understanding of how buildings adapt to the world around them and the people living in them. When he is not exercising at the gym, Christian spends his free time playing basketball and hanging out with his kids in the great outdoors. He is also a member of the Architecture and Construction Technology Club, frequenting events to stay up to date on the latest news within the industry.
Christian has always been drawn to complex problems that require elegant and unique solutions. He obtained OSHA 40 in September 2020, meaning he can confidently reduce the risk of injury and illness related to harmful exposures on the worksite. He is interested in design that promotes an easier way of life. His special interest in Transit-Oriented Development began while he was still a student, and it is one we hope to nurture during his time with the company. He brings technical skills and an unbridled passion for optimization to the Rojas AP team.
